Product Spotlight - Great Gifts For Celebrating Diwali

Introduction

Diwali, often nicknamed "Festival of Lights", is an important holiday for Indians and Hindus. However, it is a global event and can be celebrated by people of all ethnicities. Whether it's a gathering of family and friends or an office party, people should buy great gifts for celebrating Diwali to enhance the festivities.

Clothing and Accessories

People are encouraged to wear brightly colored clothes (red, yellow, orange) to Diwali celebrations. Indian celebrants likely wear kurta sets and for more formal wear, women might wear sarees and men wear a sherwani set. Mithai socks will look very festive on celebrants' feet.

Many people wear gold on Diwali to invoke blessings of good fortune and happiness on them. Therefore, women wear gold-plated bracelets with matching earrings. They might also like Hindi name gold necklaces. Alternatives to gold include pink lotus earrings and crystal elephant charm bracelets. Some Indians wear clay face masks during Diwali to help rejuvenate their skin.

Food and Drinks

Serving traditional Indian snacks during Diwali adds authenticity during the festivities. An Indian sweets sampler usually features snacks such as stroopwafel (Caramel cookies), dark chocolate-covered almonds and cashews, and chocolate coins wrapped in gold foil. Celebrants might also give friends and coworkers a dried fruit basket or a box of truffle cheese biscuits. If you're planning on cooking a dinner during Diwali, consider using an Indian food cookbook and a mandala spice box set.

For drinks, enjoy your coffee or latte with a mug with a Happy Diwali logo. Chai remains popular for the holiday, so you can either drink a chai freeze-dried smoothie or for a hot drink, a chai tea sampler, including The Chai Box Best Sellers Set.

Decorations and Other Holiday Items

Make the Diwali celebration feel more alive by decorating your house. Put up a Happy Diwali banner and place a crystal chakra tree (ie Tree of Life), a glass mandala, and votive candle holders in your living room. Place a brass diya as a centerpiece either in the living room or dining room during a meal. A pooja thali (Kettle  and bowl) set would look nice in the kitchen. For outdoor decorations, solar lanterns, including TakeMe's blue lanterns, will make your property more festive.

Children should participate in Diwali too. Parents can help them put together a rangoli mandala circular puzzle or read children's books to them about Diwali.
